PLN is recently testing and commissioning the newest coal-fired powered power plant number 9 & 10 in PLTU Suralaya, Cilegon, Banten to the west of Jakarta.


Context: The newest plant is co-owned by PLN through its subsidiary Indonesia power, Prajogo Pangestu’s Barito Pacific (BRPT), and Korea Electric Power Corporation (Kepco) though an SPV called Indo Raya Tenaga.
