Amid ongoing negotiations with United States, the government of Indonesia has announced that it has secured a 0% tariff for copper exports, although the timeline for when this tariff-free rate will be effective is still under discussion.


Between the lines: After lengthy talks since President Trump first initiated the tariff war back in April 2025, United States has finalized 19% reciprocal tariffs (down from 32% initially) on Indonesian export products, which will be implemented starting 7th August 2025.
