Indonesian government has officially signed Presidential Instruction No. 16/2025 concerning the Procurement and Management of Domestic Milled/Unmilled Rice, and the Distribution of Government Rice Reserves (CBP - Cadangan Beras Pemerintah).
What’s the rationale? Head of the National Food Agency, Arief Prasetyo Adi, stated that this Presidential Instruction will serve as a guideline for the government and Perum Bulog (Indonesia’s state logistics agency) to maximize rice procurement during harvest season.
